WELLFLOAT / Pegasus Ⅱ
4-layer “multi-stage pendulum” high-end audio rack
This world’s first 4-layer “multi-stage pendulum” high-end audio rack incorporating all the technologies of WELLFLOAT Babel, which became an unprecedented worldwide hit as a top-quality audio insulator, and WELLFLOAT Double, which has been captivating many audio enthusiasts since its release in October last year.
Features:
■Multi-stage pendulum rack shelf section
The rack shelf’s three bottom plates are made of rugged stainless steel, which ensures high rigidity and a low center of gravity.
This shelf section alone can be used as a two-tiered multi-stage pendulum audio rack.
■Multi-stage pendulum audio board “Double 4548”
Two-stage pendulum base frame structure and Double4548,a four-stage pendulum effect equivalent to Babel is achieved.
*You can also use your own audio board.
■Mr. Shiro Nakamura, a world-famous car designer who produced numerous masterpieces such as GT-R and Fairlady Z at Nissan Motors.
He designed a new generation of WELLFLOAT.
Specification
Design: 4-layer “multi-stage pendulum” structure comprising 2 layers of rack shelves and 2 layers of Double 4548 boards
Material: Stainless steel (shelf), aluminum (pole)
Dimensions: 635 x 501mm (floor installation size))
Load capacity: 95kg/static load per shelf (When using Double4548, equipment weight up to 85kg)
WELLFLOAT / DOUBLE 4548
The ultimate in anti vibration measures, having a twostage pendulum structure
The multistage pendulum structure developed for the Wellfloat Babel is used for boardtype insulators. The unique fourunit, twolayer Wellfloat mechanisms achieve the squared effect of the singlestage pendulum type!
Specification
■ The latest in the Wellfloat Board series, using “hanging structure,” which is well known to audiophiles, suppresses sound distortion to the utmost limit.
■ Superior vibration suppression characteristics due to the “multistage pendulum (2 layers)” which is also used for gravity wave detection.
■ A “multistage pendulum” with resonant frequency f₀ has a damping characteristic of H(f)~(f₀/f ) 2 x n power, while the Wellfloat Double has a damping characteristic at f₀ =3Hz, at f = 300 Hz, two stages theoretically have an isolation ratio of the eighth power of 10.
Design: Builtin 8 small Wellfloat mechanisms (4 x 2 layers)
Material: Stainless steel, aluminum
Load capacity: 200 kg (static load)
Dimensions: 480mm X 450mm X 44mm
Weight: 10.8 kg
Black version Double 4548-BK
Only the outer aluminum frame has a black anodized finish.
The stainless steel top plate and mechanism are the same silver color as the previous model.
NEWS !!
What is WELLFLOAT?
The WELLFLOAT soundboard is a truly innovative support system, designed and engineered in Japan, to improve Hi-Fi sound quality for all music lovers and audiophiles.
Adding WELLFLOAT to a system will reveal the potential performance levels of almost any type of HiFi equipment.
Our founders background in live classical music led us to ask the question, in general why does it seem so difficult to achieve the best performance from our Hi-Fi systems?
The main reason, we believe, is that a Hi-Fi system is required to process two contradictory elements – it must retain all the vibration for musical energy while simultaneously suppressing all the negative vibration unrelated to music. Simply suppressing all vibration also means limiting the most important musical energy, thus making the resulting playback sound boring. In order to resolve this issue, we started focusing on the “law of conservation of momentum”.
After extensive R&D work in our Osaka facility, we’ve succeeded in installing within our boards a uniquely developed mechanism featuring a “cantilever and hanging pendulum”. This arrangement converts the vibration coming from multiple directions, restricting it solely to a horizontal vibration. Our smart mechanism therefore achieves a stress-free, no-distortion sound while keeping all the positive energy related to accurate musical reproduction.
We are now delighted to be introducing this innovative system to a worldwide customer base.
For over 10 years WELLFLOAT has grown and evolved in Japan, a country that has many earthquakes every year. In that time WELLFLOAT products have been adopted and used as the most reliable tool in the listening rooms of a number of recording studios, a testing environment universally accepted as the place where those who require the best sound quality, cannot compromise. Having succeeded in this harshest of audio environments we made the technology available for use in the home.
As part of our ongoing development program for home Hi-Fi applications we have launched the latest version of our board that features “Full-con mech” inside, giving a maximum support weight of 250kg (550lbs), undoubtedly sufficient for practically any type of high end HiFi equipment currently available on the market.
The “Full-con mech” evolution was originally created as “WELLFLOAT for piano” specifically requested to support the weight of a full concert grand piano in concert halls, normally weighing more than 500kg.
The WELLFLOAT R&D team is continually working on new ideas and products, in particular the “WELLFLOAT RACK”.
